Hey,
Steve and I are planning a latex floater on Saturday from Elsworth. Aiming
to launch at around 1100ish.
This will be a test for a UKHASnet node with a diy crystal oven (resistors,
mosfets and a PID loop). The winds aren't idea - the flight predictions
shows the balloon heading north east and then turning east heading over
the north sea. The more UKHASnet nodes that are online the better. If you
don't have any UKHASnet nodes but do have a rtl_sdr then you could run the
(very) alpha software decoder -
https://github.com/vincentsan/UKHASnet-decoder - its very untested but does
work!
We'll also fly a 434Mhz tracker - 'XO' on 434.650, 50baud, 7N1, ASCII,
600Hz shift - its an old NTX2 so will be drifty we suspect.
As always all the data will be on http://www.ukhas.net and chat will be on
#ukhasnet
Thanks
James M6JCX
MAJ-1 :
A slight change of plan - the (old, drifty) NTX2 will be on 434.075MHz.
