ESA’s first data-mining competition has been won by a team from Slovenia. Contestants were challenged to predict the future status of ESA’s Mars Express spacecraft from past operating data. The results may help to extend the life of the mission, which has been orbiting Mars for 12 years.

EAC, based in Cologne, Germany, is now a participant in ESA’s long-running Networking/Partnering Initiative (NPI), which supports work carried out by universities and research institutes on advanced technologies with potential space applications, including the ‘spin-in’ of new non-space technologies.

A partir de 2030, la sonde de l'ESA JUICE va observer de plus près trois d'entre elles. Notre pays joue un rôle important dans la communication entre JUICE et la terre.

Ils ne mesurent que dix centimètres d'arête, mais n'ont rien à envier à leurs camarades de plus grandes dimensions. Lancés depuis une quinzaine d'années, les nanosatellites ou "cubesats" ont imposé leur potentiel dans le secteur spatial comme dans le monde universitaire.
