Version alpha DL-FLDIGI : DL3.22.13-alpha release
https://github.com/jamescoxon/dl-fldigi/releases
https://ukhas.org.uk/projects:dl-fldigi
Merci James

Hi all,
We've recently updated dl-fldigi due to the excellent work of hexameron.
Managed to compile on OS X (Yosemite), Ubuntu and Fedora with a few fixes.
Would be grateful for people to give it a go though be aware its an alpha
release so might not work. Currently no binary for windows as no build
environment - if anyone is up for the challenge...
Details here:
https://github.com/jamescoxon/dl-fldigi/releases
including source and binaries
Compile guides:

Thanks

ANNONCES BALLONS du WEEK END au 27 août 2015
Hello all,
Just a launch announcement for Project Hermes on Saturday 29 August at around 10:00AM UK time although please note that this could easily vary by an hour (later as opposed to earlier).
We have a dedicated tracking page that will be online Friday with embedded HABHUB, backup SPOT tracker link and live twitter updates:
http://track.thehermesproject.co.uk/
Launch will be from Chisbury in Wiltshire, listeners greatly appreciated across the country and in particular at low altitude near Cambridge where the balloon is predicted to land, thank you!
Payload:
HERMES
434.485MHz USB RTTY 50 baud 500Hz shift ASCII-7 no parity 2 stop bits
Hope to be on IRC during the morning.
Contact sachalachin@outlook.com
Thanks.
Dear HABers
We try to launch our first balloon and hope for some trackers (Friday
morning isn't a good time to get many trackers though).
Date: 28. August 2015
Time: around 10:00 (CEST) in the morning (8:00 UTC)
Location: Langenthal (Switzerland), 47.218115, 7.771573, 480m above SL
Sign: SPL1
Modulation: RTTY
SSDV: Yes, 1 RTTY frame, 2 SSDV frames
Frequency: 434.425 (As configured in PITS, but the carrier appears at
434.394 on SDR# though...)
Carrier Shift: 880
Baud Rate: 150
Bits per character: 8
Parity: N
Stop Bits: 2
Flight Doc: a42e1f4d3b636b4ff091dfddf00b5738
Additional equipment on board:
- GoPro
- GSM/GPS Tracker as a backup
- Datalogger
- Release mechanism for releasing the payload from the balloon controlled
by the Raspberry. It can release the payload when certain condition are
met, like max. distance from launch site, max. altitude, max time elapsed
from launch time.
Thanks folks!

Dear HAB Enthusiasts,
The Physikalische Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) <http://www.ptb.de>
announced to launch two HABs during this week.
Background for the launch are dosimetric experiments in altitudes of up to
30km.
On this opportunity DL0PTB will be able to add Amateur Radio payloads.
The launch location the the Meteorologic Observatory in Lindenberg
<http://www.dwd.de/mol>, near Berlin. (JO72BF)
The expected flight time has been estimated to be 3 hours.
Expected Launches:
Tuesday, 25th August 2015 at 10:45 UTC
Wednesday, 26th August 2015 at 10:45 UTC
The following amateur radio systems will be on-board:
APRS at 144,800 MHz (Callsign: DL0PTB-11)
Speech output at 145,200 MHz (100mW output Power)
SSTV (Scottie 1) at 145,200 MHz
Crossbandrepeater 70cm -> 2m @ 100mW output power
--> Input Freq: 433,920 MHz
--> Output Freq: 145,400 MHz
The repeater can be opened by sending a 1750Hz tone, it does not provide
any squelch, so if opened without traffic white noise will be transmitted
it shuts down after 60min inactivity but can be re-triggered through
sending the tone.
Further information see:
http://www.dl0ptb.de/index.php/Ballonstart_DWD_08.2015
Good Luck listening for the payloads and trying to operate through the
repeater!

Hi all, stupidly late I know, going to try a launch this afternoon/evening around 18:00 ish as long as the rain stops that is..trying for a float and will be transmitting about every 20 minutes day and night, as long as the bat holds up and charge system works correctly..
SHOULD:-
transmit five lines of data
sleep 20 mins ish
wake up with 25 second single tone transmission
sleep again
Call Sign ( F-1 )
SHIFT 425 -450
BAUD 50
BIT 8
PARITY none
STOP 1.5
434.070Mhz
Trackers welcome... cheers
Michael ..MONDO
---------------------------------------
WB8ELK balloon on 433.92 MHz AM modulated DominoEX16. It can drift between 433.90 to 433.94 MHz. It is floating at 23,000 feet and is predicted to cross VT, NH and Maine during the day this Saturday Aug. 22nd. Let me know if anyone can hear it. It is completely solar powered. This is also the frequency for wireless thermometers. Those are very short bursts. My transmission is about 10 seconds long and is a multitone musical sounding sequence. It was last heard about to enter PA after passing near Youngstown OH just before sunset.
It can be viewed on tracker.habhub.org.
