Hello, Today April 12,2015 we launched a 10 meter beacon transmitter on a large custom Mylar balloon from Holley,NY. The launch went very well and appears it may float for many miles and days.The payload consists of a very simple 28.222.70 mhz beacon that will operate from solar cells only.Signal was heard for 3 hours after launch using only magnet mount antennas.Frequency may vary during the flight so shift your dials up or down a bit. We can really use help hearing this beacon over the next several days.The ID and info repeats every 10 seconds using the call sign "NY2DS".Send email reports to my address on qrz.com or NY2DS email on qrz.com.Hope to hear from you.
